A Kobalt or Two

Vraal gra-Urdrul; Nimitae Vanoro; the Bird Man and Prisoner, a new addition to the gang, walked out today in search of random adventures by heading north towards the mountains. A group of Kobalt’s started watching them and Vraal wanted to hit thing so they went right at ‘em.
Soon after the encounter started it was clear that prisoner was a complete maniac: He thought it would be an excellent idea to jump on the head of one of the Kobalts. The rest kept of fight not knowing anything else to do. When they were all dead, everyone looked towards Prisoner and watched in awe as the Kobalt he was still clinging to seemed to forget all about Prisoner and continued on it’s merry wayy.
The beast lead us back to an impermanent camp in a cave where the rest were slaughtered.

We gained no quests and no items.

Old Fears

The gang set out to destroy more evil, on a brilliant West Marches day, with a few new friends; a crow man monk and a fighter. The paladin was still recovering from his dealings with the graveyard gools and opted out of the adventure this day.

As the party trundled through the forest, they stumbled upon a wild boar with a broken, magical spear pertruding from the beast’s rump. Nimitae attempted to calm the beast and pull the spear and succeeded only in making the boar not immediately run away, but he did eventually get away with the spear still firmly attacked to his rear.

The party walked along the river for a ways until they saw the cut bridge. A devilish looking man arose from the water muttering about how he must kill the stag lord who killed him. The party was a bit frightened but soon decided to investigate the scene of the crime and, after much too much time,they found the manner of his death.

Further down the river, the party found several bloodless boars and followed the tracks to a deep spider den. Nimitae, having had bad experiences with spiders in her childhood, freaked as two monstrous spiders fell from above upon the group. They were, however, swiftly dealt with. Then Nimitae’s nightmare really began with a hoard of smaller spiders crawling all over her and Verrah. The half-elf panicked and produced flame in her hands, jumping and waving her arms wildly about until, to everyone’s surprise, nearly all the little spiders lay dead.

Everyone was very happy to get out of the burnt-spider smelling cave and back to the inn for some much needed rest, except for Vraal who insisted on checking out the putrid rotten body laying in the corner. After barely resisting a hearty vomit, Vraal emerged with a stag necklace, the same as the other.

Finding a Purpose

Nimitae Vanoro,Vraal gra-Urdrul, the paladin, and the wizard met up in the general store of The West Marches and headed off to find adventures.

They met with the guard-captain of the military forces in The West Marches, name, who told them of a highly wanted man who had become a leader of the bandit forces. He promised the party three masterwork weapons in return for either bringing back the man, or eliminating him.

The party then went off in search of some bandits to kill and successfully ambushed an ambush by the river, taking out a number of bandits and securing their horses and one hostage who was of little use. The Party then went back to the in, fell asleep of the night and decided it would be a good idea to examine a graveyard in the morning.

Inside one of the tombs they found two horrific creatures with paralyzing, poisonous fangs. This is where the tank of the party, Nimitae’s Lynx Verrah, was established and it was learned that disrupt evil, smite undead and cure light wounds where all very useful spells. Inside the coffin the party found a magical necklace and a sword.

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
